Two lives shaped by singular moments.

six-time gold
Amy Van Dyken
Co-Host
Amy Van Dyken
Amy is one of the most decorated Olympians in U.S. history, winning six Olympic gold medals across her career. At the 1996 Summer Games she captured four golds, emerging as the most successful athlete of the Olympics and cementing her legacy as a dominant force in American sports.
But her story didn't end on the podium. On June 6, 2014, a catastrophic ATV accident severed her spinal cord, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. What followed was not retreat — but reinvention. Today she is a powerful motivational speaker, fierce advocate for spinal cord injury awareness, and trailblazing adaptive athlete in mountain biking and CrossFit.
In 2024, Amy earned a Sports Emmy Award as part of NBCUniversal's team coverage of the Paris Olympics.
